Soy candles are simply better for you, your family and the environment
If you have never burned a soy wax candle you don’t know what you are missing. On the other hand if you have burned a paraffin wax candle in your home, please read on. The majority of mass produced candles are made of paraffin wax which has a petroleum base. The petroleum in paraffin wax releases black smoke (soot) which is toxic. If you have noticed the black smoke that gathers around the top of the glass when burning a paraffin wax candle that's what you're missing when burning soy wax candles. That black smoke is mostly caused by the petroleum in paraffin wax.
Soy wax does not contain petroleum which allows it to burn clean with minimal black smoke which is not toxic. Although anything you burn will release minimal smoke, soy wax is the healthier alternative. Now that the harmful stuff is out of the way you will experience more fragrance with less additives. Soy wax candles allow you to truly experience amazing fragrances safely.
Clean burning-- Soy wax is non-toxic and burns cleaner than paraffin, with no petro-carbon soot which can blacken walls, ceilings, and furniture, contaminate ventilation ductwork in your home, as well as add toxic carcinogens into the air you breathe.
Long burning -- Soy candles burn slower and cooler than paraffin wax, creating a longer burning candle.
Renewable resource -- Soybeans are a renewable source, unlike paraffin, which consists of petroleum.
Biodegradable -- Since soybeans are vegetables, soy wax (basically made from hydrogenated soybean oil) is naturally biodegradable.
Helps the farmers -- Buying soybean products creates important economic growth for the agricultural sector of the US economy.
